Information for Researchers

This section aims to provide information for researchers who are (planning to be) involved in fMRI research at the Erasmus MC.

Research - Getting started

If you want to use the fMRI in your studies, you must contact the fMRI program coordinators. Below is a list of items that you need to be aware of when you want to use fMRI in your research:

Checklist

  1. Personnel
Who is going to do what?
  2. Scienctific Content
Why, what, how and in whom?
  3. Reimbursement
What about authorships and funding the fMRI costs?
  4. METC approval
All studies need to be approved by the Medical Ethical Committee of the Erasmus MC

fMRI Meetings

We organize several meetings per year. These meetings are open for all researchers interested in fMRI. For every meeting one or two researchers are invited to present their present and future troubles with fMRI. These meetings provide an open and informal platform in which you can discuss your fMRI-related work.

For 2007, 9 meetings have been scheduled. These meetings are listed in the upcoming events. If you are interested, you're invited to join our mailing list.

Mailing list

We have a mailing list for all researchers of the Erasmus MC, who are interested in fMRI research at the Erasmus MC. The mailing list is mainly used to send you information on upcoming events and to provide general information on fMRI research at the Erasmus MC.

If you wish to be on this mailing list please email us (fmri@neuro.nl). Please provide your full name, department, contact information (phone & postal address), and briefly describe your interest in fMRI.

Equipment

The department of Radiology houses two GE scanners suitable for fMRI. The following equipment and software is available:
